Who We Are
Our Story
Junction Five-O-Five is a nonprofit organization whose mission is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for adults with disabilities by providing them the opportunity to enter the workforce. For the past four decades, Junction Five-O-Five has worked to find employment for adults with disabilities by focusing on what individuals can do, not what they can’t do.
Established in 1981, formerly known as Geranium Junction, Junction Five-O-Five has located over 1,400 positions for individuals with disabilities in the community. The organization serves approximately 200 individuals annually. Our services include assessment for abilities and strengths; job placement; job-training, ongoing support services, day habilitation, supervised employment and supervised volunteer activities.

Provided by a volunteer board of directors who are elected to serve three-year terms. Junction Five-O-Five Board of Directors schedules 9 monthly business meetings annually.

OUR HISTORY
Geranium Junction was started by Marselaine Clark and Trish Barksdale in 1981. Their mission was to provide a work alternative for people experience disabilities in a less sheltered environment that what existed. Five-0-Five Personnel Services was created in 1988. The two organizations merged and were renamed Junction Five-O-Five in 1991.
